Arugula can usually be harvested as early as 4 weeks after planting. The leaves of the Arugula plant add a tangy/peppery flavor to any meal. This variety of Arugula is an "easy-to-grow" green. Plant in the spring, and again in the fall. Arugula is one of the easiest leafy greens you can grow.

Arugula is very rich in vitamin C and potassium. It's been referred to as an aphrodisiac, and used commonly as a "leaf vegetable". The young seed pods, flowers, leaves and mature seeds are all edible.

Arugula has been acknowledged by the American Cancer Society because of it's anticancer compounds and all of the antioxidants that it possesses.

High Germination Rate

I got a packet of these seeds when I ordered the fall/winter collection. I planted them in late fall and cannot say what the results were. However, I recently sowed some indoors and I believe everyone germinated... within three days! I'm satisfied so far.

Arugula - Roquette is a regular for Spring and Fall in NC!

As soon as the soil can be worked in the Spring it goes in the beds, and containers. and as soon as the schools are back in session for a week the second planting secession plantings start again. A new hydroponic system is going into the greenhouse and Arugula and Lettuce will be the first plants experimented with there as well. LOVE the peppery freshnes these leaves add to salads, sandwiches, even diced up and added to cooked soups as a last moment add before serving.

A: 3 or 4 years but shelf life hasn't been important for me because my arugula
reseeds itself and I have a pretty good crop of volunteers every year.
